All FIFA World Cup football Mascots, 1966 to 2014

Mascot mainly symbolizes culture, custom, environment of the country which is going to arrange the World Cup football in one icon. But mascot is not complex at all, because it always looks like a cartoon. Mascot was first used for World Cup football in 1966 on England, though World Cup football started earlier in 1930. Let us be introduced with mascot one by one.

1. 1966 World Cup Mascot - Willie, England: 

Willie is a lion who wears national flag of England. This lion is the symbol of the United Kingdom. And, surely you know the nickname of the England Team!!!!!!!  The Three Lions.

2. 1970 World Cup Mascot - Juanito, Mexico: 

This is a Mexican kid. He wears a Sombrero in which 'Mexico 70" is written. Juan or Yuan is a common name in Spanish language. 

3. 1974 World Cup Mascot - Tip and Tap, Germany: 

These two kids namely Ti p and Tap wear German's national flag. WM is written on one's jersey which means in German " Weltmeisterschaft or World Cup". Another one also wears a jersey written 74 on it.

4. 1978 World Cup Mascot - Gauchito, Argentina:

Gauchito who wears Argentina's national flag and holds a whip in his right hand is a fearless young man. A ball at this foot and his hat as written " Argentina 78"  What do you think? Lionel Messi was like him in childhood wasn't he?

5. 1982 World Cup mascot, Naranjito, Spain: 

This Mascot is not related to any living creature. This is related to an orange. Orange becomes "Naranja" in Spanish. There was football in the hand of "Naranja" Which is covered with the national flag of Spain. There was also an emo- smile on its face. 

6. 1986 World Cup mascot, Pique, Mexico:

Mexico has achieved glory by arranging World Cup Football for the 2nd time. Too much pepper is the main traits of Spanish food. In Spain, spiced-pepper source is known as Picante. Pique comes from this Picante. The pepper namely Pique holds a football in it's right armpit in such as style that it says- "who cares?" 

7. 1990 World Cup mascot, Ciao, Italy:

This is Ciao whose body color matches with the color of Italy's national flag. He stood like a carpet knight and hold a football up his head.

8. 1994 World Cup mascot, Striker, United States:

Dogs are very favorites to the Americans. This dog wearing the national flag of America is named by Striker. Though some critics say that Soccer is their fifth favorite game, and the rest are baseball, basketball, football and hockey. 

9. 1998 World Cup mascot, Footix, France: 

The word "Footix" comes from "Foo" of Football and "ix" of Asterix, which is a famous comic series. It's color is made blue to match with jersey color of France. "France 98" was written on it's chest.
